My name is Alan Ludwig, and I’m the owner of Ohio Hat Co.

I’m a United States Marine Corps veteran, a construction superintendent, and someone who has zero patience for half-ass work. I spend my days overseeing underground utility and directional drilling jobs, and my nights building a brand that represents the people who actually carry the load in this country.

Ohio Hat Co. wasn’t built in a boardroom. It wasn’t dreamed up by a marketing team. It was built after long days, dirty jobs, and the understanding that your name means something, or it means nothing at all.

This brand exists for blue-collar workers, small businesses, unions, teams, and anyone tired of generic gear that doesn’t represent who they are. If you wear it, it should stand for something: pride in your craft, accountability for your work, and respect that’s earned, not handed out.

Everything here is hands-on. I design it. I mock it up. I choose the materials. I oversee production. I check the final product. If it leaves my shop, it meets my standards, because my name is attached to it. No shortcuts. No excuses.

I build gear meant to be worn hard, worked in, and trusted, just like the people who buy it.

Ohio Hat Co. is veteran-owned, Ohio-based, and built on accountability. I don’t overpromise. I don’t hide behind email chains. And I don’t sell anything I wouldn’t wear myself on a job site.
